Pahang emerged champions of the 5th Raja Noora Ashikin Cup when they defeated Armed Forces 2-1 at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
It was a hard fought match, with the second have being played in a steady drizzle but Pahang were the better team.
It was the first RNA for the east coast side since the inception in 2000.
Pahang took the lead in the 8th minute via Fazzilla Syvester Silin.
It was quick thinking by Armed Forces's Nadia Abdul Rahman that got them the equaliser in the 25th minute as she burst through the middle after picking up a free hit and once inside the semi circle she unleashed a shot that sailed into the goal.
However Pahang were not to be denied as they went into the lead yet again in the 52nd minute, this time via a penalty corner set piece with Fazilla getting the final touch.
Meanwhile PDRM finished third when they came from two goals down to defeat KL Sukma 5-3.
The youngsters from KL had taken the lead in the 3rd minute throughskipper Nor Azlin Sumantri who converted a penalty corner.
However it took PDRM four minutes to draw level via Aida Fazriniza who also scored from a penalty corner.
But KL Sukma then took control of the match to score two goals with Nur Farah Shahira Md Yusof (8th minute) and Fathih Hasni giving them a 3-1 lead.
PDRM fought back to reduce the deficit in the 39th minute through Aida and the inexperience begin to tell as KL Sukma wilted under pressure.
Che Inan Melati Ibrahim levelled the scores in the 56th minute but it was only in the final two minutes that PDRM found the goals to give them third spot.
Angela Kais scored in the 68th minute and Norhafizah Razali's strike in the final minute gave PDRM the 3rd place.
